Ingredients:
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Lemon juice or rose water – 2–3 tbsp (for flavor)
Ice cubes – as needed
Optional: milk, basil seeds (sabja), or fruit juice for variations
Steps:
Make Sugar Syrup
Heat 1 cup sugar + 2 cups water in a pan.
Stir until sugar dissolves completely.
Let it cool (this is your base).
Add Flavor
Mix in rose water, lemon juice, or any fruit essence (like orange, mango, khus, or kewra).
Serve
In a glass, add 3–4 tbsp of syrup.
Pour chilled water or milk (as per preference).
Add ice cubes. Stir well.
Optional Enhancements
Soak sabja (basil) seeds for 15 mins and add.
Garnish with mint leaves or lemon slices.

Rose Sharbat – Sugar syrup + rose water.
Lemon Sharbat – Sugar syrup + lemon juice + pinch of black salt.
Khus Sharbat – Made with khus essence (green-colored syrup).
