How to Make Sharbat (Basic Method)

Ingredients:


Steps:

  1. Make Sugar Syrup

    • Heat 1 cup sugar + 2 cups water in a pan.

    • Stir until sugar dissolves completely.

    • Let it cool (this is your base).

  2. Add Flavor

    • Mix in rose water, lemon juice, or any fruit essence (like orange, mango, khus, or kewra).

  3. Serve

    • In a glass, add 3–4 tbsp of syrup.

    • Pour chilled water or milk (as per preference).

    • Add ice cubes. Stir well.

  4. Optional Enhancements

    • Soak sabja (basil) seeds for 15 mins and add.

    • Garnish with mint leaves or lemon slices.


Popular Sharbat Variations

  • Rose Sharbat – Sugar syrup + rose water.

  • Lemon Sharbat – Sugar syrup + lemon juice + pinch of black salt.

  • Khus Sharbat – Made with khus essence (green-colored syrup).

  • Falooda Sharbat – Served with milk, sabja seeds, vermicelli, and ice cream.
